head.jpg (315344 bytes)

Took my heads in to have them cleaned, they turn out ok but allot of the carbon did not come off. So this pic is of one head after about 30 minutes of cleaning with carb cleaner and a wire brush on a drimel tool. Now I will put the heads back in my parts washer and let them soak for a week and see how that work out.

I took the case down and had it cleaned at the auto machine shop. It turn out not to bad but left allot to be desired. I have been cleaning some by hand with wire wheels and polishing tools. I may take it to the local Trans shop to see if they can get it any cleaner.

Here is a side view of the case and you can see how it still needs some good cleaning. I took the oil passage plugs out when the case was cleaned and it all looks good and clean.

Engine mount.jpg (82991 bytes)

I now have the engine mount drilled and fitted to the front end. I had to cut the bottom mount plates that wrap around the bottom, because my firewall is not standard. I will cut some extensions and weld on some new ones. Now I will mount my firewall and fiberflax and stainless covering.

Here are my valve covers after wire brushing and cleaning. Hope they turn out OK. But who knows

Here is a not so good pic of the oil pan after sand blasting and paint. But it will get the job done.
